We’d like to give you a look at our hiring process, from application review to final decision

Throughout every step, our team works to create a fair and consistent process for everyone.

Narrator:

Because we receive a lot of applications—usually more than the number of openings we have—we’ll review yours to make sure it’s complete, and that you meet the “must-have” qualifications to move forward.

If you’re selected for the next phase, it’s time for us to learn more about you…how your experience, strengths, and qualifications compare to the other external and internal candidates.

Narrator:

Here are some of the ways we determine if we’re a right fit for each other.

These will all vary depending on the role you apply for.

We may ask you to complete an online assessment or simulation.

Video:

Or, we may invite you to a phone interview with your recruiter.

Narrator:

For other roles, you might be asked to complete a recorded video interview for your recruiter to assess.

Video:

This allows you to record your responses when it’s most convenient. And because you’re recording, you can re-record an answer you may not be happy with before submitting it.

Narrator:

Finally, you may be scheduled for an interview with the hiring manager, either in-person or through video.

Prior to this interview, your recruiter will tell you what to expect and how you should prepare for behavior-based questions using the STAR format.

If you’re turned down at any point, you’ll likely hear from us via email. You can also ask your recruiter for feedback—we do our best to respond.

If you get an offer, your recruiter will provide all the details, including a request for a background check.

When all clears and you accept the offer, you’re now part of the Progressive family!
